The Suz Cox Fund
Life Lights
My mother, Susan Cox, was on a feeding tube for a year before her death due to complications from ALS. My mom was always involved in conservation and recycling efforts. When the cans of formula started to accumulate, she naturally wanted to recycle the cans. Well, only the tops of the cans are aluminum, the sides are steel, so the cans can not be recycled. After months of trial and error, I devised a way to turn the formula cans into candle holders and Life Lights were born. These cans of formula gave my mother life and now they are lights that burn to raise awareness about ALS and funds for research to find a cure!

Dash For a Cure
Upon Silver Wings
The first book was very successful and raised over $60,000 for ALS research. A few hundred are still available if you are interested. This book is written so that you feel as if you are in the right seat watching and hearing all the action and communication as CarolAnn flies the 15-hour leg from California to Hawaii or the 12-hour leg from Darwin, Australia over Indonesia to Singapore. When the engine coughs, your heart leaps into your mouth. When the radio doesn't work, you walk step by step through the problem analysis and find a solution to allow the flight to continue. Enjoy the flight, enjoy visiting the different countries, and feel the freedom. Book Purchases directly benefit ALS TDI.
